H.H.Dr.Swami Rama inspired millions of people through the loving and selfless example he set in his life, and through the clarity and practicality of his teachings and writings. Swami Rama Centre (SRC) was created to ensure that his works continue to be available as a source of inspiration to countless spiritual seekers

SRC has become a favorite meeting place for Swamiji's students and disciples from all over the world. A yearly Guru Purnima celebration is organised by SRC. An annual seminar on holistic health with visiting lecturers from abroad is sponsored by SRC on 13th November, the anniversary of Swami Rama's maha samadhi.

The centre itself is a multi-faceted complex where the writings and teachings of H.H.Dr.Swami Rama are preserved and made available to all who are interested. The complex includes a photobiography of Swamiji and meditation hall. The Meditation Hall is a zone of silence, open daily for meditation. Adjacent to the meditation hall is the room where Swamiji left his mortal body

Swamiji's books, audio and video tapes, and other published materials are available in the library. Spiritual books published by the Himalayan International Institute and others can be purchased from the book store. The research wing of Swami Rama Centre contains archive materials of Swami Rama's books, tapes, and original publications.

The preparation of Swamiji's unpublished writings and lectures for publication and audio recordings for public release are among the priorities of Swami Rama Centre. HIHT publications of Swamiji's books and audio cassettes are available by mail order through SRC.

The entire complex is surrounded by a beautiful garden which provides a serene and isolated environment, conducive to meditation and contemplation.

Plans for implementing the Swami Rama Research Institute (SRRI) are underway at HIHT. The fivefold approach includes the following :

 3.  Dissemination & publication
 4.  Therapy
 5.  Psychosomatic medicine
Research will be conducted in the following areas: autonomic nervous system, yoga, body/diet, breathing, mind, senses, soul, music, and mantra. Education and training will be given in hatha yoga, yoga nidra, yoga therapy, intuitive diagnosis, group meditation.
