General Objectives

Nurses completing this course will be able to:
Demonstrate awareness and skills required in the
Nursing Process in the provision of health care and
nursing of patients.

The Himalayan College of Nursing Aspires to achieve the following goals:

1. To prepare nurses to keep pace with the latest professional and technological developments and use this knowledge to provide quality nursing care nationally and internationally
2. To provide community-oriented nursing education that focuses on disease prevention, health promotion and curative health care for the individual, family, community, and country al large
3. To prepare nurses with sound foundation in nursing education, enabling them to function as efficient members of the health team, with the competencies for positions in a variety of health care settings
4. To help the nurse in their personal and professional development, so that they are able to make maximum contribution to society as useful and productive citizens as well as skilled professionals; also to provide a basis for further professional education and specialization nursing
