The HIHT campus is situated in a lush green valley, adjacent to the Dehradun Airport on the Rishikesh-Dehradun highway, in the district of Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It is well connected by road, rail and air with the Dehradun Airport situated in the vicinity of the University (1 km) and the nearest railway station, Doiwala just 6 kilometers away. Other important railheads are Haridwar (35 Km) and Dehradun (25 Km).
