Conscious Living
A Guidebook for Spiritual
Transformation
by Dr. Swami Rama
What is the aim and goal of life? You
think I am going to tell you it’s God? No, that’s not being practical. The
aim of life is contentment and for that you need adjustment. Can you
adjust yourself mentally, physically, and through speech so that you are
content? What do you mean by being content? I always say: do not be
satisfied yet remain content.
Contentment is a great virtue that you can develop in your daily life. If
it is not there, your God business is not going to help you, let me assure
you. Repeating God, God, God, God, God, without understanding! What a
waste of time and energy! I am not an atheist, but I have learned to
analyze things with clarity of mind and that’s how I was trained. And that
same thing I am imparting to you now.

High Tech Critical Care Ambulance
It
is difficult and risky to transport sick patients from peripheral centre
to point of care tertiary level hospital. Many sick patients can not avail
treatment at higher centre and may die, as they can not be safely
transported by usual means. A "High-Tech" fully equipped ambulance has now
been commissioned by HIHT to help such patients.
This ambulance has all the
amenities for managing a critical patient during transit. It is equipped
with a portable ventilator (artificial respirator), oxygen supply,
multichannel multiparameter monitor oxygen saturation in blood (Sp02),
electrocardiograph (EKG), pulse oximetry, blood pressure, detachable
stretchers for shifting patients in and out of ambulance. All the
equipment that may be needed to
resuscitate
a patient, if the need arises, is available such as cardiac defibrillator,
suction apparatus, facility for intubations, syringe pumps etc. Medical
and Paramedical personnel accompany the ambulance, besides the drivers
have also been trained to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
during an emergency.
This ambulance may prove to be a boon to
heart, respiratory or other sick patients who perish for want of a
suitable way of transfer from far off areas to a higher centre.
